Khashaba Jadhav's story has a specific unfinished ending. He wanted a world-class wrestling academy in Goleshwar, so that no child from a village like his would ever have to depend on a mortgaged house and a public collection to reach the Olympics. He died in 1984 without it. Funds were sanctioned in 2013, and the project stalled.
In August 2024 — forty years after his death — his family and supporters incorporated the Kusteeveer Khashaba Jadhav Foundation as a Section 8 non-profit company to finish it.
